Kathleen has a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. Kathleen also attended the School of Image Arts at Ryerson University to work towards a certificate in Photography Studies. She is also graduate of the Canadian Staging Professionals certification program. 

 

Her professional career spans across the information technology sector at EDge Interactive in Toronto, Ontario and previously in the hospitality industry working with Delta Hotels and Resorts in Mississauga, Ontario. In 1997, she was appointed the position of Production Manager at EDge Interactive, overseeing the development of some of Canada’s most innovative technology products for the higher education sector. Working as Project Manager over the next seven years, Kathleen achieved numerous awards and honours for her clients. During this time she developed relationships with Canadian Foreign Affairs and International Trade to promote higher education in Canada overseas, through the development of www.StudyinCanada.com. In late 2004, Kathleen was named Director of Communications for EDge Interactive, overseeing all external and internal marketing and communications. 

 

After a year long sabattical on a sailboat in 2006, Kathleen translated her well-honed creative and organizational skills and launched Blossom Solutions in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In 2009, the Canadian Staging Professionals recognized Blossom as The Best Overall Company of the Year as well as launching The Best Overall Marketing Campaign of the Year. In 2012, Kathleen relaunched her business in Toronto, Ontario and added a concierge level package of services.

 

Kathleen has also held numerous volunteer positions in the past including: public relations for the Glenn Edwards Atlas Cold Storage Fire Fighter Everest Expedition in support of the Children’s Wish Foundation; Exhibit Organizer, and for the Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education Annual Photography Exhibit earning her a Dennis Mock award nomination. 

 

Kathleen was the Secretary for the Nova Scotia Chapter of Professional Organizers in Canada. She also volunteered for Laing House in Halifax, a peer support organization for youth with mental illness, in their Art Therapy department and for their annual fundraising galas. 

 

Blossom is currently supporting the Women’s Auxilliary at Sick Kids Hospital with donation of time; and also supports Kiva, and Porridge for Parkinson’s, a bi-annual fundraiser.

 

Kathleen is an avid sailor, and has covered tens of thousands of miles on the Atlantic, on the shores of North America and in the Caribbean. Distance running, design, photography and writing are some of her personal pursuits.
